Wilgeheuwel house fire claims man’s life

A man was killed on Thursday morning, 29 October when a fire broke out in his home on Echo Street in Wilgeheuwel.

According to ER24’s Russel Meiring, their paramedics arrived on the scene at 8:25am to find that the security personnel on the scene had already extinguished the fire.

“On closer inspection, medics found the body of a man lying in the kitchen area,” he said.

“Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead,” said Meiring.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
