Charity run to assist furry friends

Members of the community may bring along their children, strollers and their furry friends for the 5km or 10km Fun Run/ Walk.

The Harveys Beacon of Light Foundation will be having a charity run/ walk suitable for the entire family on Sunday, 25 October at Bidon Bistro in Muldersdrift.

Members of the community may bring along their children, strollers and their furry friends for the 5km or 10km Fun Run/ Walk.

The organisers confirmed to the Northsider that they have found the most beautiful lush-green farm, right next to Bidon Bistro that is safe for dogs to walk on leads.

The trail will be marked clearly, and there will be doggy water points along the way, doggy shell swimming pools for pups to cool down in, shaded spots and delicious doggy treats.

With over R16 000 in lucky draw giveaway prizes, participants will also be required to bring a tin or bag of dog food, or donate an old doggy accessory to get an extra entry into the lucky draw on the day.

Harveys Beacon of Light Foundation is a non-profit organisation in honour of the French bulldog Harvey who went missing in the Northcliff area in July.

Members of the public are advised to get their tickets at https://entrytickets.net/harveyrun and an entry will include a Harvey medal and coffee.
