Rand Water is in the final stage of replacing approximately 1,5km of its F2 Pipeline, which is located in the eastern part of Roodepoort.
As part of the final stage of the process, the old valves and pipe work need to be replaced, and thereafter the contractor will conduct pressure testing and commissioning the pipeline.
This means that a nine-hour long water interruption needs to be implemented in the surrounding areas. Rand Water has consulted with Joburg Water, and together the entities have agreed on times that would minimise inconvenience to residents.
The water shutdown will be from 8pm on Tuesday, 29 September, to 5am on Wednesday, 30 September and the following areas will be affected:
• Roodepoort Industrial
• Florida Ext
• Maraisburg
