Westgate’s women’s breakfast ends off Women’s Month on a high

Shoppers passing Wimpy in the Westgate Shopping Centre on Friday morning 28 August, could not help but notice the table occupied by nine happy women, enjoying their breakfast.
These women all formed part of Westgate Super Regional Shopping Centre’s campaign, Celebrating the Women behind our Business, and the breakfast was the conclusion of this initiative that ran from 9 to 31 August.
Gail Mashiane, the centre’s marketing manager said the campaign focused on celebrating ten women (both tenants and contractors at the centre) during Women’s Month.
“The women were from different categories and we celebrated these warriors who have been extraordinary and made a meaningful impact during lockdown. They are outstanding leaders, have been on the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic, and are entrepreneurs and trailblazers in our community,” Gail said.
After everyone enjoyed their breakfast and some much-needed socialising, each guest participated in an impromptu raffle and were rewarded with great prizes.
With full bellies and happy hearts, the women parted ways and returned to their respective places of business, where they continued to lead by example and carry the torch for females everywhere.
