While so much awareness has been created by government and civil society about Covid-19 safety, this Grade 6 learner from Silverfields Primary School has made some of the tips to rhyme

Smart, talented youngster, Kuhle Thobejane is gradually showing all his many talents at the tender age of 11.

The Roodekrans resident just continues to impress his mother Lerato with his creativity and brilliance in academics.

While so much awareness has been created by government and civil society about Covid-19 safety, this Grade 6 learner from Silverfields Primary School has made some of the tips to rhyme, and put some beat to them in a bid to spread awareness while testing the waters of the music industry.

Kuhle explained how the concept came about. “We were writing an essay about Covid-19 in school, and after doing my research on the topic I decided to find a beat and freestyle on it,” said the aspiring rapper who looks up to Nasty C and AKA locally.

“The aim of my song was to create awareness and tell people how dangerous this virus is to our health,” he explained.

Sadly his initiative has not received public reaction beside from school and home. This is because he is still too young to own a YouTube channel; however, he said he plans on creating one when he turns 13.

A couple of years back, Kuhle was a victim of bullying at his previous school. He would take money from his mother’s purse to buy off the bullies in exchange for ‘friendship’.

Since changing schools the young boy’s potential started to sparkle as he became a top achiever and participated in sports such as swimming and golf.

What do you think of Kuhle’s freestyle?
