Mining company blesses Matla A Bana with comfort packs

The handover was made on 21 August at their Constantia Park office in Weltevreden Park.

Matla A Bana, a voice against child abuse, was once again blessed with comfort pack donations, this time thanks to DRDGOLD.

This mining company specialising in the retreatment of gold tailings, donated 100 comfort packs to support the organisation?s initiative of equipping detectives assigned to Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit cases.

The handover was made on 21 August at their Constantia Park office in Weltevreden Park.

The company’s group manager, Cheryl de Reuck, who indicated that they’ve been supporting Matla A Bana for three years, said, “We are passionate about caring for those in need, and focus on benefiting the communities surrounding our operations. We supply comfort packs to Matla A Bana every year to assist this worthy cause. They hand the packs to the FCS officers to comfort a child when the crime is first reported.”

Cheryl explained that the packs contain items that will help the child emotionally and physically in the time of emergency.

The FCS units in Sebokeng, Krugersdorp and Carltonville were the recipients of these much-needed packs.
