Florida old age home needs volunteers during Covid-19 pandemic

The global Covid-19 pandemic has created an urgent need for volunteers to assist at Residentia Ons Huis Old Age Home in Florida.

Management is calling on volunteers to assist in various areas at the facilities, including cleaning, kitchen duties and care-giving. They are also in need of enrolled or registered nurses who may be willing to volunteer. The request is addressed to both those who have no experience in this field, and those who have previously worked with senior citizens, but are not currently doing so.

The volunteers will stand in for staff who either are on sick leave, in quarantine or self-isolation after being exposed to Covid-19. Management emphasised that this is not an employment opportunity, but volunteering.
