FoodGuru Gives Restaurants Food for Thought

FoodGuru, an innovative Restaurant and Hospitality Management Software provider, alongside Tech innovator Fastcomm, and Connectivity expert XLink Communications, are set to debut a first of its kind, hospitality passport that is set to improve the dine-in experience for restaurants and their patrons, while also ensuring that all Covid-19 government regulations are adhered to effectively.

Government regulations stipulate that all restaurants are required to capture customers’ details before they dine at their establishment. This is quite a task for restaurants as well as their patrons. The FoodGuru passport concept is simple yet exceptionally useful, and eliminates the need for patrons and restaurant managers or owners to have to capture these details manually, which often provides its own set of risks.

Patrons complete their ‘Passport’ details in the form of a short questionnaire via the website. Their profile and information are then securely and digitally stored on their phone, and a QR code in the form of a passport is issued (similar to that of a boarding pass for an airplane). Additionally, individuals can also create multiple passports for partners, spouses, and family.

This unique passport can then be presented to a restaurant to scan by using the FoodGuru application, and based on the information provided, if safe, and uninfected, the patron will be allowed in. Passport details can be amended at any time, and ultimately restaurants stay compliant with government regulations, with digital access to their patron check-in history.

The FoodGuru passport can be accessed using the weblink as of 8 July.
