#JusticeforTshego: Suspect in Tshego Pule murder appears briefly in court

Tshego was found murdered on 11 June in Durban Deep, Roodepoort after having been missing for three days.

The accused in the Tshegofatso Pule murder case made a brief appearance in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 17 June facing charges of premeditated murder.

The 31-year-old, who covered his face during the proceedings, heard that his offence fell under Schedule 6 of the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977, and that he could apply for bail. However, he declined to do so after consulting a Legal Aid attorney.

The Magistrate adjourned the case to 24 June for further investigation, when the accused will appear via the Audio-visual Remand (AVR) system from a prison facility in Krugersdorp.
