Two injured in Wilgeheuwel accident

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations

Two people were left injured yesterday afternoon, 14 May, one of them seriously, when two vehicles collided at the Paul Kruger and John Vorster Roads intersection in Wilgeheuwel.

According to Russel Meiring, the ER24 spokesperson, paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 1.36pm and saw two vehicles in the middle of the road. Two people were outside the vehicles.

“When paramedics assessed the victims, it was found that one had sustained minor injuries while a woman had more serious injuries.

Medics treated them and provided the seriously injured woman with pain-relief medication before both were transported to nearby hospitals for further care,” Meiring said.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
