A new coat of paint for Association for the Physically Disabled

The West Rand Association for the Physically Disabled always needs help and recently, some organisations stepped up to the plate to help renovate the Association's premises.

The West Rand Association for the Physically Disabled (WRAPD) works hard all year round to ensure that their residents are well cared for and live in pleasant conditions.

Generally, the centre relies mostly on outside help whenever improvements or renovations are needed.

Recently, WRAPD was in need of help in exactly this regard. Soon, a few organisations approached the centre as though they were called to do so.

The Krugersdorp Flying Club donated new curtains and gutters, and renovated the bathroom in the centre’s C block, all worth thousands. The Monument Rotary Club upgraded two bathrooms on the premises last year, and helped again by laying new floor tiles in some of the hallways in need of an upgrade.

In addition, WRAPD is proud to have a new caterer in their kitchen. The Orange Peppercorn will be helping out with general meals as well as any events hosted at the centre.

WRAPD is also looking to make its hall available for events and conferences, with the Orange Peppercorn doing the catering.

The WRAPD can be contacted on 011 660 7964.
