Man alleged to have stolen stationery and electronics

While the state imposed national lockdown has reduced overall crime figures, opportunists continue to attack soft targets throughout their communities. Police are seeking information on a man caught on camera during a robbery at Princess Primary School.

In an incident that is alleged to have taken place around midday on Saturday, 11 April, the man is believed to have stolen stationery, electronic equipment and various other items. He is also alleged to have removed a Smart TV but was unable to make away with it as surveillance footage suggests he was alone.

Princess Primary School Principal, John Sithi, confirmeds the that a case has been opened at Roodepoort Police station. “Please publicise the picture and assist the police to arrest the criminal,” said Sithi in a plea to the community.
