The EARTH Centre halts operations due to lockdown

'We sincerely hope that you, your family and other loved ones all remain healthy and safe during this time.' – The EARTH Centre.

Daily operations at The EARTH Centre have been temporarily suspended due to the national lockdown.

The decision was taken to ensure the safety and well-being of their beneficiaries, volunteers and staff, although some of the centre’s staff members have been set up to continue to work remotely, and find innovative ways to ensure the centre’s mission is carried out.

“While the Earth and all of us may enjoy the compulsory reset that comes from the lockdown, our greatest concern is for the needs of those we serve and reach out to in the community. Our beneficiaries are unfortunately the ones who are most affected by the current situation, as are the funding and income that support their therapy,” the centre highlighted its challenge.

“Despite the challenges, we will continue to work diligently to ensure that the community is well supported by our programmes once regular activities recommence. At present, we are also harnessing all resources and grit to find new ways to reach out, connect and raise funds,” the centre detailed.

“With you cheering us on, we are able to create hope, uplift and empower people with disabilities. We sincerely hope that you, your family and other loved ones all remain healthy and safe during this time.”
