HEF reaches out to 1 000 homes during lockdown
During the lockdown, they delivered basic foods, soap, hand sanitizers and other essential supplies to the poor and destitute.
The efforts of the Humanitarian Empowerment Fund (HEF) NPC to aid the destitute could not be deterred by the coronavirus outbreak.
As an essential service entity, the organisation under its operational director Clete Stevis, has reached out to over 1 000 homes since the announcement of the lockdown.
They delivered basic foods, soap, hand sanitizers and other essential supplies to the poor and destitute, with the focus on single mothers, widows and destitute families. Among the beneficiaries were shelters, which received donations of non-perishable goods.
