On 23 March, Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) arrested two unidentified owners of two unidentified taverns who were operating after hours. The two owners had been detained at Roodepoort Police Station for further questioning.
JMPD, in collaboration with the police, has been working hard to ensure that the restrictions are followed by all.
The Roodepoort Police spokesperson has been approached for comment on the matter, but by the time of the article going to print, none has been received, seeing that communication has been centralised to the local police stations for the time being.
