The water is still not enough

The shutdown is imminent due to not having enough water to clean and maintain a sanitary healthcare environment.

While some water has since been supplied to the clinic in Kromdraai in Portion 26, Ward 39 councillor Zillah Maguire said the supply isn’t enough to sustain the facility.

The clinic, which sees on average 60 people per day, is on the brink of shutting down due inadequate water supply by Mogale City Local Municipality.

The shutdown is imminent due to not having enough water to clean and maintain a sanitary healthcare environment.

Maguire previously warned that should water not be delivered, the clinic staff would have no choice but to suspend services until the situation is rectified.

She further alluded that the shutdown will put the lives of the patients at risk, as the majority will not be able to reach other healthcare facilities.

Mogale City Local Municipality was approached for comment regarding the matter and the previous debacle concerning the supply of polluted water. Both media inquiries are still awaiting a response.

This is a developing story.
