Wife of Covid-19 patient tested negative

Bell clarified that only two of the 26 (his wife and domestic worker) have any links with Eagle Canyon.

The resident of Eagle Canyon Golf and Lifestyle Estate, who tested positive for the Coronavirus, is said to have come into contact with 26 people, including his wife and the family’s domestic worker.

However, according to an update by the Estate’s Head of Department (PR, Marketing and Communications) Kim Bell, none of them have shown signs of being infected.

She detailed, “We have been informed by the resident who tested for Covid-19 that his wife, who was tested Tuesday, has come back with a negative result. She will remain in self-quarantine and will be retested in seven days.

“The resident further informed us that all NICD protocols have been followed and the 26 people he came into contact with between the Wednesday and Sunday have all been notified and at the current time have not displayed any symptoms.”

Bell clarified that only two of the 26 (his wife and domestic worker) have any links with Eagle Canyon. “The domestic worker has not returned to the Estate since Friday and remains in self-quarantined. The domestic worker has not displayed any symptoms,” Bell said.

The resident became infected with the disease after being in contact with a foreign national, who also tested positive for the virus.

This is a developing story.
