Three injured when car crashes into tree

Fortunately no fatalities were reported in the single-vehicle accident.

Three men were injured when the car they were travelling in crashed into a tree on Saturday, 14 March. The incident occurred just after 3am at the corner of Johan Road and Hans Street in Honeydew.

First responders arrived at the scene to find that two of the occupants, who had sustained moderate injuries, had removed themselves from the vehicle. The third occupant had serious injuries and was still inside. Paramedics removed him from the vehicle and treated his injuries at the scene.

ER24 spokesperson, Ineke van Huyssteen confirmed, “ER24 treated all three patients at the scene before transporting them to various hospitals for further medical care”.

Fortunately, their were no fatalities. The cause of the accident is still unknown and is currently under investigation.
