Garden Party hosted to raise funds for Multi-Charity

Flowers, Seeds and Busy Bee's swarmed with cheese and wine

Picking a specific charity or organisation to support can be a daunting task, so why not pick them all? This is the purpose of Multi-Charity which, through the work of Avrille Botha, raises funds for a multitude of causes throughout Roodepoort.

Flowers, Seeds and Busy Bee’s hosted a Cheese and Wine Garden Party on Saturday, 29 February. The nursery, based in Florida, aimed to raise money for Multi-Charity and Avrille, who had fallen victim to a robbery recently. The late-afternoon soiree featured quality wines, fine cheeses and better friends as they all mingled under umbrellas reminiscing about Avrille’s years of service to the community.

Flowers, Seeds and Busy Bee’s owner, Thelma Botha, teamed up with Avrille for the event. “I want to thank her for her support over the years and we hope she never gives up,” said Thelma warmly. Avrille was appreciative of the support saying, “Just a big thanks for everyone who has made the effort; every little bit counts”.

Raffles were sold, wine was sipped and cheese was nibbled all in the name of friendship and charity.
