She managed to finish in the top five of the Junior Teen category, she was named Media Winner and Ambassador, and received a Second Princess Scholarship.

The Second Princess Scholarship is awarded for academic achievement as Gabrielle impressed everyone and was second to none.

“This is the first pageant I have ever entered and the experience was amazing. I learnt a lot about pageantry, and the skill and hard work involved in it. I look forward to entering future competitions and learning more about pageantry,” said Gabrielle.

A portion of the money that she won will be donated to the Chayil Foundation, which serves communities in South Africa, and the rest will go towards her fundraising for her trip to America in July.

Gabrielle said, “I look forward to entering future pageants and one day, God willing, I want to enter Miss South Africa.

“The standard at the pageant was exceptionally high. South Africa can be proud to have such a fantastic event being held here. The experience has been priceless,” concluded a very excited Gabrielle.

In July the young shining star will be jetting off to America as she was awarded a scholarship to attend the New York Film Academy’s summer camp in Los Angeles, where she will be learning acting, film and musical theatre.

She will then head to New York to perform in front of 300 agents at the International Model and Talent Show (IMTA).
