Navigating a business in the tough economy

With the current tough economy environment causing strain on most businesses, small-business owners gathered at Hirsch’s Struben’s Valley recently to join the monthly business networking event where they received much-needed advice from an expert.
The speaker for the morning was Ryan Jones who spoke about sales in the current economy. Jones comes from a sales and marketing background and is a consultant in the finance, and information and communications technology (ICT) industries.

She said he touched on the skill of cold-calling and how to go about it efficiently.
Ryan ended the session with a quote he lives by and on which he bases his knowledge and strategies, saying “Have so much going on, that no one’s disappointment disappoints you”.
Marjone added that networkers were given the opportunity to showcase their products and introduce themselves and their businesses.
This was followed by a lucky draw, networking, sharing of business cards and enjoying refreshments.
