Parents, learners and staff picnic together

While the learners played around the jungle gym, the parents bonded with each other and the staff while the music played to set the mood.

Tight bonds among parents, staff and children were formed when Nova Pioneer Ruimsig hosted a family picnic on Saturday, 15 February.

Hosted in the school’s brand-new courtyard, the attendees came armed with camp chairs and snacks to enjoy the delightful morning.

The school principal, Carla Hercule, who excitedly welcomed everyone to the Nova family, cited the purpose of the occasion.

“We are a new school in the community, so it is important for us to build this relationship, which is what Nova is about – building families,” she said.

The school opened its doors this year, and Carla couldn’t be happier about the reception on the day. “It’s a small school but we’ve been blessed. The support from the parents has been so positive and courageous,” an optimistic headmaster explained.
