No arrests as yet in Sasol hijacking

The family of four were forced out of the vehicle by three armed men travelling in a white Mercedes-Benz A200.

No arrests have been made as yet following the brazen hijacking of a white Toyota Land Cruiser, registration number HH 84 WY last week at a local filling station.

The vehicle was hijacked at about 7pm on Thursday, 20 February at the Sasol service station on Viljoen Road, off Hendrik Potgieter Road in Ruimsig.

When asked about any developments in the case, Muldersdrift Police spokesperson, Constable Slindile Ntuli said she would give an update once any arrests are made.

Information regarding the recovery of vehicle is unknown at this stage.

The police continue to appeal to the public to come forward with information that may lead to the arrest of those responsible for the hijacking.
