The Witpoortjie Library has become known as a place that strives for personal and community development. Their monthly business workshops help budding entrepreneurs find investors, ideas and strategies. Every once in a while, motivational speakers show up to add hope and ambition to the community.
A must-attend at the library, however, is the Performing Arts Day. This regular event sees the creative spirits of Roodepoort gather at the library for a morning of performing arts.
The mornings are always entertaining and the regular attendees have become like family and call themselves the Witpoortjie Performing Arts Youth Movement.
If you love poetry, singing, dancing, acting, stand-up comedy, and learning, then this is the perfect extra-curricular for you. Find friendly, like-minded people at the performing arts days and blow the audience away with your passion.
Show off your talent at the next performing arts day, with the theme ‘All You Need Is Love’ on 26 February from 10am to 1pm at the Witpoortjie Library on Payne Street.
