Top JMPD officer praised for swift action

He attended to the problem in less than 20 minutes on Thursday, 20 February.

Ward 97 councillor Leah Knott has given a shout out to the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) Ward 97 commander and current Acting Deputy Director for Region C, Superintendent Wandile Mrubata for his swift action.

This after the councillor had notified him of a broken-down minibus that disrupted traffic in the Honeydew area, and he attended to the problem in less than 20 minutes on Thursday, 20 February.

“I called him at 6.23pm about a broken-down school taxi blocking peak-hour traffic on Honeydew Road West circle, resulting in motorists driving into oncoming traffic to get past. By 6.40pm it had been removed,” Leah explained in a Facebook post.

Mrubata, a JMPD award-winning officer, is known in the community for his dedication to by-law and law enforcement, which tops his priority list.
