Six injured in accident in Horison

Two adults and four children taken to be evaluated at hospital

The midweek commute was abruptly disrupted when two light motor vehicles collided at the intersection of Crane Avenue and Kingfisher Street, Horison on Wednesday, 12 February.

The two vehicles collided at roughly 7am and were carrying six occupants – one adult and two children each. Emergency services arrived on the scene to find that all occupants had removed themselves from the vehicles. Thankfully there were no serious injuries but all passengers were evaluated by paramedics.

Russell Meiring of ER24 confirmed the incident stating, “Medics assessed the patients and found that two adults, a man and woman, and four children, three boys and a girl, had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene. The patients were treated for their injuries and were transported to Life Flora Clinic for further treatment.”

Authorities were present on scene and the accident is currently under investigation.
