Man collapses along Christiaan De Wet Road

Man receiving text messages from ‘Jason Bailey’

A man has been taken to hospital after collapsing along Christiaan De Wet Road between Clearwater Mall and Wilhelmina Ave, on Wednesday, 5 February.

An instant lawn salesman, Godfrey Bandawe, who had just watched the man walk by before noticing that he began to wobble and after stumbling a few yards fell to the ground. “He was moving from side to side and then he just dropped,” said Bandawe.

The man, aged between 40 and 50 years old, was wearing blue flip-flops, grey shorts, a white shirt and a pink hat covering a balding head. His personal effects are in the possession of an employee from a company in the office block across the road.

Liani Botha of De Vos, Richards, Abed Chartered Accountants who along with her colleagues, witnessed the incident, recounted,  “We just saw him swaying and we thought he might fall into the road”.

The man is still receiving messages from a friend by the name of Jason Bailey and this man is asked to phone his friends number as soon as possible.

The man is in a stable condition and has been taken to Leratong Hospital. Should anybody be missing a man fitting that description they are to please call his cellphone as it is in Liani’s safe hands.
