Learner at a Roodepoort school allegedly hospitalised after altercation

A learner at a local school is under medical assessment after being allegedly assaulted in the bathrooms at his school.

Reports indicate that a boy was repeatedly slammed into the floor by another student of greater size.

It is further alleged that the school is aware of the incident but is reluctant to comment.

Comment has been sought from both the school and the Gauteng Department of Education but none has been received yet.
