On Friday, 17 January at approximately 11:20pm three suspects forced their way into a cottage on one of the plots Nooitgedacht Muldersdrift.
A young woman opened her bedroom door to see what was going on and was shot in the stomach by one of the suspects who then fled the scene.
According to a media release issued by Muldersdrift Police, it is alleged that the complainant was busy moving boxes because they are moving to a new house.
When he opened the door there was a man wearing all black standing in front of the door.
Behind him there were two other men, he then ran back into the house to his parent’s bedroom.
Shortly he heard a gunshot followed by his sister screaming.
When they came out of the bedroom they found that the sister was shot in her stomach.
The suspect fled the scene with several items taken from the property.
The 21-year-old injured female was taken to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.
The police are appealing to the community to assist with information that could help with the investigation and the arrest of the suspects.
