That is why the Record has made a list of five amazing covers of Christmas carols, to show you that sometimes a little change is good and Christmas carols can be exciting.

1. I’ll be home for Christmas – Aubrey Toone and Aljaanieri

This song was made popular by Bing Crosby, and while his version is beautiful, the spectacular voices of these two singers give the song a new, modern edge.

2. Silent Night – Josh Groban

Arguably the most popular Christmas carol, Silent Night was written by Joseph Mohr and composed by Franz Xaver Gruber in a small town in Austria. Josh Groban’s soulful, beautiful voice gives anyone who listens to this song goosebumps.

3. Little Drummer Boy – For King and Country

This song was popularised by the Harry Simeone Chorale but this band has taken it to a new level with their cover. These Australian brothers have an array of different instruments on stage with them, including several drums, when they perform this song live. It is upbeat, catchy, and they have put their own unique twist on it.

4. O Holy Night – Future of Forestry

This band has taken a classical ballad and turned it into a rock ballad. The unique voice of the lead singer, coupled with the rock melody and instruments, turn this song into a completely new one.

5. Run Rudolph, Run – Bon Jovi

The much-beloved rock singer, Jon Bon Jovi, has stuck to his roots with his version of this classic Jonny Marks song.
