The Johannesburg West Awards for Sports, Values, Youth and Culture were held at Future Nations School in Fleurhof on Thursday, 21 November.
l walked away with the second prize for Primary Sports School of the Year award.
The school’s HOD for Sport, Dale Elias said, “We came second to Laerskool Roodekrans, which is an amazing achievement for our school. I am very proud of what we have achieved.”
The Weltevreden Park Primary School principal, James van Dyk was present at the event and accepted the award on behalf of the school.
At the same event, a staff member of the school, Jacob Boikanyo, received a Special Achievement Award for the work he does for school, district and community sport.
