Roads closed and alternative route after major accident on Hendrik Potgieter and Doreen halts traffic
An eyewitness said, “We were on our way up Doreen Road when that truck came flying down and missed us by millimetres. [It is] very sad, but [we are] not surprised.”

Peter Road is still closed travelling towards Beyers Naude, as they are still trying to move the truck and two vehicles. Road users are urged to rather make use of Handicap Road.

Motorists are advised to avoid the Hendrik Potgieter/ Doreen/ Peter Roads intersection due to a major motor vehicle collision, allegedly involving a truck and two cars.
It is not clear yet what caused the accident, and JMPD, ER24 and other emergency services personnel are at the scene trying to assist the injured.
