The South African Weather Service has warned all Gauteng residents that there is a weather watch in place for today, 20 November, as conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms.
A severe weather watch is an alert calling for people to be prepared for weather hazards that most likely will occur within one to three days and that could lead to disruptive and disastrous conditions.

All Roodepoort, Krugersdorp and Randfontein residents have been warned against the potential threats of small amounts of hail and damaging winds. Thunderstorms are predicted from 3pm until late afternoon.
The weather watch has been extended to tomorrow, 21 November, and residents are warned against heavy wind, rain, and hail.
