Reminder of Public Meeting tonight

Roodepoort residents are invited to join City Power and councillors Leah Knott, Sonja Meyer, and Florence Roberts for a public meeting tonight, 12 November.

An invitation to a public meeting, originally sent out to residents of Ward 85, has now been extended to the surrounding Roodepoort wards.

The meeting will be hosted by councillor Leah Knott, in conjunction with the City Power Risk Department. Ward 83 councillor, Florence Roberts and ward 85 councillor Sonja Meyer will also be in attendance.

The meeting will be held in the Phelindaba Council Chamber on the first floor of the Roodepoort Civic Centre, at 100 Christiaan De Wet Road and is set to start at 6pm.

It will be held tonight, 12 November, and will cover topics relating to cable theft, illegal connections, reporting mechanisms, hot spots, security measures, and contractor verification.

There will be a question-and-answer session at the end of the meeting where City Power officials and councillors will address any queries residents may have about the above topics.

The meeting has been called to focus on the listed topics specifically; all other questions for councillors should be reserved for after the meeting.

For more information, contact councillor Sonja Meyer (Ward 85) on 083 988 4279 or councillor Florence Roberts (Ward 83) on 082 414 9735.
