Residents of Roodepoort enjoyed yet another weekly parkrun on 2 November, and celebrated with a couple of runners reaching their milestones.
A total of 347 people ran, jogged or walked on the day, with 28 of them taking on the Roodepoort parkrun for the first time. There was also a total of 35 new personal bests recorded.
Shadrack Hoff completed his 50th parkrun as the first male finisher in a time of 17 minutes and 15 seconds. Eva Carson was the first female finisher with a time of 26 minutes and 46 seconds, just missing out on recording a new personal best time.
There were also quite a few milestones reached on the day. Four runners, David van der Westhuizen, Reuben Kalima, Johan de Witt and Zeldinne Matthee, completed their 100th runs.
Chloe Jirivengwa completed her 50th run, while Elizabeth Clack completed her 200th run.
