Springbok legend meets the community at Princess Crossing

Pet World Princess Crossing hosted Optimizor Dog Food

Capitalising on the rugby fever currently engulfing South Africa, Pet World Princess Crossing hosted Springbok legend Bakkies Botha, on Saturday 26 October, in conjunction with Optimizor Dog Food. Bakkies was there to promote the brand and share his insights with Saturday shoppers.

Speaking about Optimizor Dog Food, the three-time Super Rugby champion and World Cup winner said, “Optimizor has an incredibly high protein intake for active dogs. I am a farmer and know my dogs need high protein food. I have tested Optimizor myself and the better the quality of the food you give your dog, the better quality life you give your dog.”

He was swamped by fans, both young and old, who all wanted a photograph with the three-time Heineken Cup champion. He was very generous with his time, indulging fans with stories of past glory and insights into the Springboks’ chances at the World Cup. ”We should get past Wales but the final will be tough. It’s going to be a bone-crunching game,” Bakkies said with a cheeky smile.

This giant of a man has a big heart, not just for his fans but, of course, for his dogs, whose nutrition he prioritises. “The protein in Optimizor is unmatched and your dogs deserve the best nutrition possible. We will also be launching a 40kg bag because the demand for the food is so high,” he confirmed.

After almost a decade and a half of striking fear into the hearts of opponents, Bakkies is revealing his gentler side, that of a humble farmer who just wants to provide his dogs with high-quality protein-rich nutrition.
