In a bid to lessen the administration that comes with opening a file for a missing person at a police station, the Pink Ladies has come up with a profile certificate which contains all the personal details needed when a person goes missing.

“When someone goes missing, there is a 10-page form that you have to fill in at the police station. It happens that sometimes the person reporting the matter is so traumatised that they can’t remember the personal features of the missing person, such as hair colour and birth marks etc.
This certificate helps by taking care of all these issues and speeds up the process as the police just make a copy of it and start searching immediately,” he explained.
The certificate contains the following details: full name, height, weight, hair colour, and particulars such as scars, birth marks and the fingerprints of the missing person.
This is a very necessary service in the community, because people go missing almost every day. Swanepoel said that the profiling is done free of charge and can be done anywhere they receive a request. “For more information, people can like our Missing Minors The Pink Ladies Facebook page and from there request our services. We make ourselves available at sll sorts of events, schools, old age homes and family gatherings,” he said.
