Honda West Rand surprises Child Welfare

Child Welfare South Africa Roodepoort extended their gratitude to Honda West Rand and the community for their generous donations.

Child Welfare South Africa Roodepoort has extended its gratitude to the community yet again.

The organisation has said they are overwhelmed with the generosity of residents and businesses in Roodepoort. While they will always need the community’s help, CWSA Roodepoort has said that they feel extremely fortunate that the community has chosen their organisation to support. “There are so many NPOs doing amazing work, so we feel so fortunate when people choose us to donate to,” said Estelle Odendaal, the Director.

Their latest thank you was expressed to Honda West Rand. On Wednesday 16 October, Maxine Prince came to the CWSA Roodepoort offices, on behalf of Honda West Rand, and donated several loaves of freshly baked bread to the organisation. The bread was immediately distributed to the foster families CWSA Roodepoort works with.

Estelle expressed her joy saying that the donations not only make the organisation happy but the foster families and children too. When the children and families can receive donations like this, the joy on their faces is incomparable. The business’ charitable efforts didn’t end there, as Maxine also asked the organisation to bring their car to the dealership on Thursday, 17 October.

When they arrived, they were overjoyed when Honda filled their fuel tank. Estelle would like to thank Honda for the petrol especially, because donations like this help CWSA do their jobs and keep their doors open. The petrol helps with getting to callouts, court cases, and distributing all the donations to the foster families. “We are so excited that community members are realising that we also need help with running costs. We cannot see to the safety of the children without having funds available for fuel, repairs, maintenance, stationary, and security,” said Estelle.
