Lubbe is currently facing a charge of attempted murder after he had shot at a taxi driver multiple times in what appeared to be a road-rage incident in July. The taxi, which the victim had driven at the time of the incident, was riddled with bullet holes. The wounded driver consequently crashed the taxi into a perimeter fence on Doreen Road in Ruimsig.
