The lifeless body of a man was found lying in a complex in Wilgeheuwel yesterday morning, Wednesday, 4 September.

According to BCI Security, they received a call from the neighbour, who reported that he had not seen his neighbour for a couple of days and had noticed that the door to his unit was standing open.

“The BCI control room dispatched a reaction officer to investigate, and upon arrival, the reaction officer found the owner of the unit deceased inside his home,” said Rudi Holtzhausen from the company.

He said the Honeydew Police, ER24, and the direct family of the deceased were contacted.

“Police who attended the scene made arrangements for forensic photographers and pathologists to attend to the matter, and indicated that an investigation has been launched into the matter but that no criminal activities are being tied to the matter at the moment,” he explained.

The company conveyed their deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased man.
