Man dies when hit by train

On Saturday, 24 August, a man was killed when he was hit by a train near the Florida train station just after 8am.

According to Werner Vermaak, ER24 spokesperson, the 29-year-old sustained fatal injuries.

“Paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the man lying next to the tracks. He had sustained severe injuries. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead,” said Vermaak.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
