#WeRead: Woman and Prayer hits the shelves

She wrote the book as a lifeline for women

Reverend Chikaodi Emeka-Nwakpuda released her religious book entitled Woman and Prayer to serve as a lifeline for women.

Her inspiration came when the reality of busy schedules in her everyday life became a big struggle for her, and she said, “We don’t always have the time to get to our religious needs, and that is why I wrote the book. I want it to be seen as a lifeline for women, to help them know that in the midst of a busy schedule, you can still have time for religion.”

The book is written in everyday language, so that all women will be able to read it. Women that are married, single, single parents, who had or have bad habits in the past or present, to name just a few, will all find the help they seek or the strength they need in the book.

“We face certain things in life, even if it is a drug addiction or something else, and we struggle with the questions, ‘Will God still love me or care for me?’ and ‘Am I worthy?’ This book will help women realise that God is always there and that He does not criticise us, for we are His children, and we can always ask Him for help and He will come to our aid,” explained Chikaodi.

The Women in Ministry church also hosts a Bible study and Thursday breakthrough prayer services every week, where they explain every aspect of being a woman and her relation to God, and where women come to pour their hearts out to the Lord in prayer. She stated that, “The basic need for women is to find themselves and to know who they really are, and a huge part of finding yourself is through God – He is the source of who we are”.

The book is available at the Rainbow FM studios and can also be bought directly from its author. To get your copy, contact 083 363 4771 or email anurinonye@gmail.com.
