Members of the community and local businesses dedicated 67 minutes of their time to assisting the Pathways Roodepoort Centre for Disabled Children in their effort to upgrade the bathrooms at the school.
Pathways is a non-profit organisation for disabled children that relies mostly on donations from the community to keep running.
The children of Pathways Centre were taken for a walk in their wheelchairs around the block with Absolut Security vehicles ensuring that the walk was a safe one.
Everybody then had a chance to get to know the children and enjoy some lunch and refreshments at the Centre.
It was clear by the expressions on the faces of the kids that the day meant a lot to them and that they appreciated the love expressed by the community.
Sunette Pretorius of Pathways said, “We would like to thank the following companies for their assistance in ensuring that the day was a success: Wesbank, Kruger & Pottinger Attorneys, Absolut Security, Lifestyle Brokers, Medscheme, Payneless Bonds, Ruimsig Gemeente, Altcoin Trader, and Just Property.”
