Feed-the-Furry holds fourth drive

The non-profit organisation will be doing another drive on Saturday, 29 June, and will deliver to Mama Kasi Rural Rescue.

Feed-the-Furrys fourth drive was done differently to all the other ones they have had.

This drive, which took place on Saturday, 22 June, consisted partly of a large quantity of cat food, which was delivered to a shelter that is in need.

Forty kilograms of cat food, as well as 174kgs of dog food were donated to the Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary.

Celeste Vermeulen, the founder of Feed-the-Furry, said, “We delivered more cat food to this shelter than to others, because they have far more cats than dogs in their care. We also delivered some blankets and bowls.”

This non-profit organisation will be doing another drive on Saturday, 29 June, and will deliver to Mama Kasi Rural Rescue.

On Thursday, 20 June, Celeste visited Trinityhouse Little Falls Preparatory school, where she received donations, which included a valuable voucher to buy food and pet goodies for this month’s drive.

“Thank you so much to every kind heart that has donated towards this drive as well as the weekend’s drive. Thanks again to all Grade 4 pupils at the school and Tanya for making it possible to donate to two shelters this month,” said Celeste.
