A potjiekos competition like no other at St Luke’s

Judges' job was not made easy as everyone's potjiekos looked month-watering and tasted delicious.

 

The delicious aroma of potjiekos in the air and the melodic sound of jazz, led masses of people to St Luke’s Methodist Church on Saturday, 15 June.

The church was holding an eventful potjiekos competition to which members of the church and the community were invited to come, in order to enjoy a good meal. The participants in the potjiekos competition had an opportunity to walk away with some great prizes; however, according to the judges, their job was not easy as everyone’s potjiekos looked month-watering and tasted delicious.

There was also a white elephant craft market with amazing homemade bread, ginger beer, pancakes, toys and collectibles, puddings, coffee and tea for the attendees. People also sang and danced along to the great live music by KB from the Mi Casa band.
