Residents Association celebrates 21 years of existence

The 45 vendors meandered through the park like a hungry serpent patiently waiting for the residents to come and spend their money on desirable goodies.

 

Constantia Kloof North Residents Against Crime (CKNRAC) held a celebration on Saturday, 1 June at Kroton Park in Weltevreden Park, to mark their 21 years of existence.

The event kicked off at 9am and ended at 2pm.

Residents brought their friends and families to celebrate and enjoy the event filled with a lot of fun in the form of 45 vendors and an impressive craft and food fair.

The stalls inside the park were bustling, with residents supporting the initiative and just making use of a family day out in the park with neighbours.

The mood was perfectly set by beautiful music from violinist, Jeanine Marais, who played slow, relaxing music that filled the air with harmony and tranquillity.

Thomas Pretorius of Vox Telecom Krugersdorp said, “It is a lovely day for the residents to come together and celebrate for a good cause and continue to keep our society safer.”

Resident Charlene Withinshaw said, “I have my stall set up and am happy to be supporting the residents’ association.”

CKNRAC is proud to have made the celebration a success and hopes that they will continue ensuring a safer community.
