Residents of Hamberg are frustrated as they have been without water since 2pm on Saturday, 18 May.
“It is true that Hamberg has been battling with no water supply since last weekend,” said Ward 84 councillor, Gert Niemand. “Johannesburg Water has been informed and has been on site since Monday, 20 May on a daily basis, trying to establish why the system has collapsed.”
Niemand also mentioned that water tankers have been placed in different locations throughout Hamberg.
The Record is awaiting comment from Johannesburg Water as to what the cause of the interruption to the water supply is, and when the water will be restored.
