Roodepoort Police Station has a trauma unit
Victims are given counselling according to what they have undergone, be it hijacking, armed robbery or anything in between.
The Roodepoort Police Station’s trauma unit is a non-governmental organisation which offers support to victims who report cases such as rape, among others.
The unit is open every Monday to Friday, from 8.00am to 4.00pm. Victims are given counselling according to what they have undergone, be it hijacking, armed robbery or anything in between.
The trauma unit officials also visit schools for counselling every Tuesday and do door-to-door visits to make communities aware of their presence.
