On Tuesday, 14 May, Lantern School held its Mr and Miss Lantern pageant in the school hall.
The pageant is an annual event and it is aimed at building the learners’ self-confidence.
The school hall was filled to capacity with excited learners, teachers and parents, rooting for their favourites.
The pageant consisted of various categories, from Miss Petite to Mr Cool Dude, with a number of participants in each category.
The winner of the Little Miss Lantern title was Nikalye Human, and Sanele Moya was Little Mr Lantern.
Candice Barnard walked away with the Miss Lantern Petite title, while Khanya Mtshali was Mr Cool Dude Lantern.
Reneilwe Seitshiro was crowned Miss Lantern Junior, and Kamogelo Manaka crowned Mr Lantern Junior.
The winner of Miss Lantern Senior was Mecyla Bothma, and Antonio Maree was crowned Mr Lantern Senior.
