Learners attracted to reading

With much excitement and love for reading, some learners also had a chance to purchase their favourite books from the book shop.

Learners at Agape Christian School in Weltevreden Park had an exciting opportunity to dress up as their favourite book characters when the school visited the Travelling Book Shop recently.

On the day, 26 April, all the learners paid R5 each to be able to wear their best book character outfit. The funds will be used by the school to purchase books for its library.

With much excitement and love for reading, some learners also had a chance to purchase their favourite books from the book shop.

“This was also one of many ways to encourage children to read books, something which is vitally important in a child’s life,” said Teresa Jennings from the school.
